WHY BECOME A MEMBER?

MIDWEST THEATER members provide operating funds that are vital to the day-to-day existence of the theater. Our members help maintain the facilities of this grand historic building, with its Art Moderne décor, and the newly remodeled adjacent Baumgartner building. Members support programming that enlightens and entertains. You will instantly become part of our history by joining the legacy of supporters who have preserved this treasure for over 60 years. The MIDWEST THEATER is a place for members to proudly bring family and friends. Memberships assure these pleasures for future generations to come.

A treasure of a community resource is right here, right downtown--a place where 700 people can be seated inside for:

Movies, classic and current
Special speakers and programs
Weddings and ceremonies
Musical and theatrical performances and recitals

A local group, Friends of the Midwest Theater has organized to keep the historic movie theater on Broadway in downtown Scottsbluff, a vital part of the community. The organization is raising funds to maintain the building to keep it available for community events.

The 1946 Art Moderne building complements Scottsbluff/Gering's collection of public facilities and is perfect for large audiences that need an indoor venue.

How Can I Help?

Become a member of Friends of the Midwest Theater . . . your contribution will help keep the doors open.
Volunteer your time and talents. Friends of the Midwest Theater can use help with fund raising, building maintenance and production work. Please contact us with any comments or questions.
